Dear Muruga Bhaktas.
Clear the Doubts. Hindu VS Tamilam.

1.To the Hindus.
If you believe Muruga Peruman is the PARAMPORUL ( Paramatman, Brahman, GOD), You also call HIM as Arumugan, Alagan, Skandan, Karthikeyan, Kathirvelan ,Subramanyan, Shiva Shakti Maintan, etc.

You are called as a Kaumara or Shanmatha, or Sanmargi or Sanathana dharmi or Smarta or Vedanti and in the worldwide known as a Hindu. No doubt.

Then, your worship place is Alayam ( Temple). You should go to any Murugan temples to pray. If you are not sure, please refer to the Hindus ( Shanmathas) .

BUT

2.Tamilam Followers ( Tamil Religion NOT Tamil Shaivites)
If you think Muruga Peruman is your Mupattan ( Great grandfather/ Munnor /Ancestor), is an ordinary HUMAN.

You call it as ancestor worship ( Mupattan valipadhu) also as Aseevakam ( Ajivikam) or Tamil Samayam or Tamilam or Tamilism or Tamil Religion , etc.
and around the world your are unknown. 

If the mupattan or munnor valipadu you mentioned refer to Kulacara ( Kula Devi / Shaktism ) or Kaval Deivam, than no issue, you are still within Hindu fold. But aseevakam ( ajivikam) is referring to atheistic, which rejecting the existence of Paramporul (God). It is a problem. Lord Murugan did reincarnated in Tamilakam, no issue on that. But, if Murugan (is mupattan as aaseevaham claims) was said had propagated the teaching of aseevakam to Tamils, as claims by some groups. If so.

Then, your worship place is Idukadhu ( Burial ground /Cemetery ). You should go to your ancestor’s cemetery to pray. If your great grandfather’s name is Murugan, no problem. If you are not sure how to pray, please refer to the Chinese. They know better. Temple is NOT your place of worship.

3.Conclusion
Hindus see God in human and sees human as God. But we aware very well that the man cannot become God in his human form. Even the Avatara purushas lived within the conditions of the physical body. No doubt on that. But we Hindus REJECTS any attempt to demean or degrade the almighty Paramporul into human (by equating or comparing with other religious teaching, for example we have heard that there were attempts to degrade Hindu Gods into the Prophets of Abrahamic religions follower). If you are still confused, please do not hesitate to consult the Hindus. Clear the doubt.

Unity is the core of strength of any society. Most of Indian Hindu families in Malaysia are mixed with Tamils, Telugus, Malayalees and other Indian origins. We must united together as Hindu.
