 Why Hindus Cannot Eat Beef?

This  article is purely to Hindus alone.

Hindus were prohibited from 

eating beef for many reasons. 

1. Protected animal. 

Sacrificial Yagna is for rain water

cycle. Only products of cow

(Pancha gavya; milk, yogurt, ghee,

cow dung and cow urine) can be

used as basic ingredients. Cow is

created by God for the very purpose

of yagna and abhishekam. Without cow,

Yagna cannot be performed. 

2. Sacred animal of Mahadeva. 

Favourite animal of Lord Shiva. 

Susila is the favourite cow of

Mahadeva in Brindavan under

the care of Govardan. (as per

Siva Purana). Shiva is

the gateway for Moksha, eating

beef will incurred wrath of Mahadeva,

thus losing the chances of Moksha

in this life. 

While Basava is the bull of Sivaperuman

send to help human to plough paddy

fields, this is the foundation of

jallikathu in Tamil Nadu.

3. Scriptures Prohibited it. 

Vedas to Puranas did mentioned

about sin of eating / killing /hurting

cows. Consequences of drowning in

hell for a longer term , born deformed

in next life (Garuda Purana) etc. Eating

non vege without a proper ritual/ prayer

also wrong/ incur sin but there is parihara

to escape from drowning in the hell

but not for beef.

4. Fallout / Outcasted. 

Eating beef, one can fall out from

Varnasrama to Chandala / Avarna

/outcaste in this life. Any deeds which

are against basic foundation of Hinduism/

Sanatana Dharma will lead to fall out.

5. Cow as reflection of 14 lokas.

A sacred cow is seen as the reflection of

14 lokas and resided by Deities. So during

Gomata pujas, it considered we are praying

all Deities in different lokas at microcosmic

level. Maha Lakshmi resides in the back of

of cow.

6. Other reasons. 

a.Mother cow or gomatha. As mother to many of humans. 

We had drink cow milk sometime in our life. No one can 

deny they never drank cow milk. Manusmriti sets its 

rules on how to use of cow milk. The emotion and 

sensitivity, it is like killing the mother who gave milk.

b.Remover  of Negative energy. The presence of cow and 

calf will remove any negative energy in the surround. 

That is the reason during house warming or new temple

Kumbhabhisegam, cow and calf as must. Cow urine 

have special property to discard evil spirits.

c.Cow dung as fuel, anti septic and building material. 

Were used by Hindus for millennials.

d.Bull as farmers' friend, help in ploughing, transport 

and etc. Jallikathu is part of this. Krishna the cowherd,

He Himself had took part in 'Jallikathu'. (Srimad Bhagavatam)

Sadguru Jaggi Vasu's View on Beef ...

We are pastoral Society, for ages our health, economy and well being

determined by the cow. If have cows in home, even in draughts/

famine, children will be healthy, the wisdom of this culture.

They are not just an animal, they part of family, they shed

tears if someone in the family died. The bond, the emotion...

And to preserve the soil, every acre must have cows other wise

the soil become barren/ useless in long run.

Conclusion.

If you are a Hindu or Sanatana Dharmi, then you should

protect Gomata. No where in any of authentic Hindu

Scriptures approved the beef eating.

Others who are NOT Hindus, it is their right to consume what

they want, And it is NOT a license to insult Hindus' Faith.

In the end they reap their karma. Not Hindus.

Some ill minded gang of karuppar kootham (EV Ramasamy

Periyavengayam stooges and fanboys) are slandering on

Hindu scriptures by misinterpreting it and claiming that

scriptures approved beef eating. They even promote eating

beef purposely to divert the Hindu mind. But every Hindu

knew this is lie, slander and blasphemy against Hinduism

and Hindu Scriptures.

Anyone can eat anything as per their need or wishes.

No one should demeaned another's food (it is sin to demean

another's food). But no Hindu should/will eat beef. If one

eats knowingly, he/she is a NOT Hindu.

This article is not about race or gender or about other religious/faith's

opinion. It is just Hindu opinions, as the other faith's got their own opinion.

PS. Those Chicken burger lovers, please avoid any burger stalls/restaurants if/because they are using the same frying pan to fry both chicken and beef. It is time to rethink and reset our attitude. We Hindus normally respect food of others even we are prohibited to eat that. But this tolerance/ respect attitude of food is misunderstood and become laughing stock against Hindus.

Joe Fernandez deviated from the rape issue and attacked Brahmanas and now to Hindu Scriptures.

Earlier, he claimed the Brahmins/ Hindu caste system are the reason for rapes in India. But India’s rape stands at 1.8 per 100,000 compared to South Africa 132.4 and America at 27.3. There is no caste system in South Africa and America, but there are Pastors, Padris, Bishops. So, who is doing the rapes? In fact, India with caste has the lowest rate of rape. So, how is it possible to blame the caste system? What is the actual agenda of Joe?

Now, he claims Hindu Scriptures endorsed the caste system.

“Hindu has been characterized by the evil caste system since ancient times”

The biggest problem is, the anti-Hindu groups labeled and interpreted Varna as caste and don’t understand/ blind about how Varna (qualification) and jati (job) turned into caste. Caste is CASTA of Portugal/Spain based on birth (by blood) and inheritance brought by Portuguese missionaries when they arrived in India and endorsed by the Pope in Europe. Varna is based on Gunas ( attitude, education, pietyness) and karmas (actions, job). Nowhere in any of Hindu Scriptures mentioned Varna is by birth or the word caste. These anti-Hindu groups need to demean Varna / Hinduism so that it is easy to achieve their agenda of conversion. But they forget that both the CONVERT and the CONVERSION AGENT will become SINNERS.

 

I just picked just one of his many verses.

“By his VERY BIRTH a Brahmin is a deity even for the gods and the ONLY AUTHORITY for people in this world, for the Veda is the foundation in this matter.” #

Actual Quote,

 By his ORIGIN ALONE a Brahmana is a deity even for the DEVAS, and (his teaching is) AUTHORITATIVE for men, because the Veda is the foundation for that. 

First part,

“By his ORIGIN ALONE a Brahmana is a deity even for the DEVAS”

The verse says, 

A person who is born in a Brahmana family has a  Deva/ Divine quality because of his past karma (one born according to past karma). Even Devas look at Brahmanas as Deity.( But to become a brahmana in this life, he must complete his education on the Sacred law and practice the brahmana’s way of life as prescribed in dharma. If he fails at any of the stages, he will be falling out from his Brahmin hood. Brahmana is not inheritance or by birth.)

In Christianity, don’t you look high upon your Popes/Bishops? Vicar of Christ to feed the lambs flocks…. Don’t you look at the pope as a man of divinity? One who is able to dispose of your sin? And of course, don’t forget about the sale of indulgence.

Second part,

“and (his teaching is) AUTHORITATIVE for men  because the Veda is the foundation for that”

Here the Brahmanas’ teachings about the Vedas and sacred law are considered true/ correct as revealed by Brahman/God and must be followed by Hindus because Vedas says so. Because those who had studied the Vedas/ Sacred Laws under a certified Vedic guru (Aptagura) and graduated will become a Brahmana. It is an earned title by the Vedic education system not by birth.

In Christianity, the Christians follow/believe the teaching of Pastors, Padris/ Bishops. Aren’t they? Why? Because the Bible said so...Am I right? By believing them, you are following your  pastors,... but questioning Hindus.

The whole subject in Chapter 11 of Manusmriti   is about Expiation of Sins,

forgiveness or repentance for sins. Those sinners will be assembled in the place of Brahmanas to dispose of their sins.  Getting a blessing from a Brahmana is to remove sins. Same as how the church gives forgiveness by the Bishops on behalf of God/Jesus. But our friend Joe tries to show how evil the verse is.  This shows the evil agenda of JOE to confuse Hindus, then easy for him to convert. What you earn from each convert? 

So, don’t just pick one verse and try to justify your evil version of interpretations.

All the other verses  Joe listed either mistranslated/ misinterpreted, the actual interpretations have their justifications as per Dharma. I don’t want to waste time further here unless Joe wants to come out for an open dialogue. Nowhere the Hindu Scriptures deviated from Dharmic Sacred Law. It is the anti-Hindu groups with the agenda interpreting based on their ill understanding and propaganda. I suggest to Joe to stay focus on the Bible and the rape issues in Churches, many nuns, women and children are not guaranteed safety in churches as we can see many cases involved Pastors and Bishops. Or if you are so interested in Hindu Scriptures, please become a Hindu first, I can guide you A-Z on Hinduism and its Dharma. SANATANA DHARMA, THE MOTHER OF ALL RELIGION. Being a non-Hindu, you got no right to talk about Hindu Scriptures.
