A Brief Explanation About Aaseevaham Cult.
Introduction.
Aaseevaham or Ajivikam is an atheistic belief. They reject God ( Paramatma or Brahman).Aaseevaham is Ajivikam. Ajivikam is nastikam. Nastikam is atheist. Atheist is anti God. Thus anti Shaivam. So it is anti Murugan and Shivan. Aaseevagam is anti Hinduism.
Aaseevagars rejected all the Hindu influenced period from First Tamil Sangam up to Bhakti Movement in Tamil Nadu. Thus, Aaseevaham rejects Shaivism.
Idea or Origin of Aaseevaham.
Some atheists group in Tamil Nadu reintroduce Ajivikam ( the dead cult) in the name of Aaseevaham. The name difference is because of the removal of Sanskrit’s elements from Tamil language. The letter ‘Ji’ is Sanskrit loaned letter replaced with Tamil letter ‘See’, thus Ajivikam coined into Aaseevakam.
The idea of Aaseevaham in Tamil Nadu reestablished and mooted by a group of people including Prof.K.Nedunchezhiyan (follower of E. V. Ramasamy, an atheist), Dr. R. Mathivanan, VCK Ayothidasar, some so called Aaseevaga Sittars (not sure ???), Orissa Balu ( marine researcher), Senthil Mallar (propagandist, his father Asirvatham??? Wrote on this.) and a few other names at recent time.(Need to verify further).
These people were most probably infected with some kind of sickness called ‘Tamil Syndrome’, a kind overly love toward own origin and hallucinating their own glory. Or, working for conversion agents. I guess.(Aaseevaham ‘doctrines’ indicates the hidden agenda which encourages conversions )
This propaganda were expanded through time with a well designed documentations by a group named Tamil Chintanaiyalar Peravai (other different post on different names available).
Origin of Ajivika.
Ajivikam, ( Aaseevagam ) is referring to naked wandering ascetics or also called Makkhaliyar. It is a product or brain child of / by Makkhali Gosala about 484 BC (500-250 BC) from Magadha, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is NOT a Tamil or from Tamil Nadu. His father, Mankha make living by selling images (idols). He lives in a cowshed with the mother, Badha. He is an atheist, Makkhali himself not sure if God exist. He followed naked wandering ascetic life after escaped from his master (landlord). He escaped naked, wondered around until saved by some other Sadhus such as Kapalikas (Shaivites). Then only he became a ‘Sithar’ ( Sadhu / monk). Unfortunately, he never achieved realisation, he never realised the existence of God. He believes FATE, not believing Karma. Towards his end of life, he thinks his ‘God’ named ‘Hallah’, Hallah like a bamboo root. Most of his time past in dance, drunk or remain quiet.
Buddhism and Jainism were branched out from Ajivikam and became rivalry to each other. Makkhali had taught Mahavira (Jain) and Gautama (Buddhist) earlier but separated because different interpretations of doctrines. (Got different opinions about the relation betweem the three)
Aseevagam is nastikam (a teaching of denying / skeptical on the existence of God). So, how can Aaseevagars believing Lord Subramaniam or other Hindu Gods and Goddesses as Divine Beings?
If we study their claims in detail through their propagations, speeches, videos, articles which are available now on Internet about this cult. It clearly indicates that they have fabricated Sanatana Dharmic Core Doctrines and reproduced a very well designed, imagined and manipulated documents, the so called ‘facts’ about their cult. We can clearly see the actual deceiving and camouflaging propaganda in progress to break Hindus and Hinduism. Splitting the Hindus is their important agenda, it will be easy for them to convert Hindus to other religions if they are able to convince the to believe themselves (Hindus) as atheist!
Aaseevahars or Ajivikas believe the existence of atman (soul), BUT do not believe the existence of Paramaatman ( Brahman / God), thus they are claiming that, they are worshiping ancestors recently. We can see Chinese people going to cemetery to pray their ancestors. If these Tamilism group is really believes ancestors worshipper, they should do like the Chinese, go to cemetery ( NOT TEMPLE) to pray their ancestors. In line to ancestors worship, they are claiming Hindu God and Goddesses as their ancestors. It is an attempt to demean and degrade Hindu Gods. It is a pre-planned, underground movement and a systematic method to deceive and destroy Hinduism from within.
‘Golden Era’ of Aaseevaham?
( Kalabra, Dark age of Tamil Nadu as per History)
There is no such age of golden period for Aaseevaham because Ajivikas were eliminated during Asoka reign. Those escaped from Asoka scattered around. Some escaped to south.
This so called Aaseevagars assume that Kallapirar (Kalabra) era (250 AD to 550 AD +- ) as golden age for Tamils. But during Kalabra reign, Jainism and Buddhism spread well, and at later period Shaivism and Vaishnavism took over and spread in Tamil Nadu. Nowhere Aaseevaham practiced.
The era of anti Vedas and anti divinity by Ajivika, Jain, Buddhist, Carvaka, Ajnana etc. existed during 500 BC - 500 AD. Ajivikas flourished during Bindusara (Maurya Empire 297 - 273 BC). Asoka ( 268 - 232 BC ) son of Bindusara, converted to Buddhism. Later, Asoka eliminated Ajivikas from Northern part of India, some of them escaped to Kannada and Tamil Nadu. So, Aaseevaham is a died cult, doesn't EXIST anymore. Some anti-Hindu Tamils try to revive it in order to confuse the Tamil Hindus.
Scriptures of Aaseevagam?
There is no original text or scriptures about Ajivikas, most of informations were extracted from Jain text and Buddhist text in Pali. NO original text in Tamil. For example, Neelakesi scripture is a Jain text. No single word mentioned in any of Hindu Scriptures or Tamil Sangam Literatures.
They claim Thirukural is their (Aaseevaham) scripture. Thiruvalluvar is claimed as a Samanar aaseevagar because of more secular nature of views in Thirukural. They ignored or blind themselves to the first verse in Thirukural mentioned about Bhagavan (God). They accept Tolkappiyam as their scripture for its Tamil language contributions. All the other scriptures refers to Divinity of Hinduism (Brahmins, Sanskrit, Vedanta, etc.) were rejected by them.
Aasevagam have a new fabricated, well designed documentations by a group named Tamil Chintanaiyalar Peravai. It is best to rename the group as Tamil Karpanaiyalar Peravai. ( Chintanaiyalar means thinker, Karpanaiyalar means dreamer ) Because the method of proving (if study their videos on YouTube will reveal their mockery) their ‘theory’ is by assuming and imagining with their own coined words then relate it with other languages, religions and its meanings. There is no solid authentic evidence to support their claims. They tried to associate their claims with some archeology evidence but it is dubious. Their major ‘ evidence ‘ from literature and own coined terminologies. It is all were imagined, falsified and faked.
There are many videos on Youtube by this propagandist group with their imagined information about so called ‘facts’ about Aaseevaham or Tamil religion. Actually, it was a hijacked version of Hinduism with the elimination of Divinity, Vedic and Sanskrit influences. These group had reproduced almost all the Hindu fundamental teachings in to their distorted, manipulated versions of stories.
They claim further, not only Hinduism but all other religions, languages, civilizations etc. were originated from Aaseevakam of Tamil Nadu.
The ‘Tamil Syndrome' is chronic among Tamils from lower socioeconomic groups such as Paraiyar, Pallar, Mallar, Kuravar, Kallar and etc are considered as Aaseevagars, listed by the so called Tamil Chintanaiyalar Peravai. This is RIDICULOUS.
Be aware, the so claimed Aaseevaham is a ploy.
Their modus operandi is to break the unity among Indians and Hindus. By destroying unity among Indians and Hindus, they can easily impose their agenda.
Aaseevaham is an anti Hinduism cult, full of lies, slanders and blasphemy against Hindu scriptures and God.
